Gusto Role Play Case
Course: Professional Selling
I worked on a comprehensive sales strategy for Gusto, a leading platform providing integrated payroll, benefits, and HR management for small to medium-sized businesses. I conducted a deep dive into the client’s existing administrative challenges, specifically regarding automating payroll and controlling labor costs, to position Gusto as a critical tool for operational efficiency and company growth.
VERIZON STRATEGIC ANALYSIS
Course: Strategic Management
Role: Financial Justification
As part of a semester-long project, my group developed recommendations to strengthen Verizon’s competitive advantage in the telecommunications industry through secondary research to develop a strategic plan for a professional audience. My role was the financial justification, evaluating feasibility by analyzing costs and revenue impact. Using NPV, IRR, and industry benchmarks, we showed how our strategy could be both profitable and sustainable.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT: ABBOTT PROSPECTING
Course: Professional Selling
I worked with my mentor for the semester developing new business for Abbott. My goal was to develop a list of prospects for respiratory testing medical devices, with North Dakota being my assigned territory. I developed a list of 213 medical centers and through various cold calls, I was able to gather the respiratory testing methods of 21 locations. I also identified 23 top targets for major contracts.
